eBike Agreement

E-Bikes and Electric Motorcycles E-Bikes, Electric Motorcycles, and Other Motorized Personal Transportation Devices

To promote student and staff safety, the use of electric bicycles (e-bikes), electric motorcycles, electric scooters, and other motorized personal transportation devices is subject to the following requirements:

  1. Students may ride e-bikes to and from school if permitted by state and local law.
  2. The operation and use of all e-bikes, electric motorcycles, and similar motorized devices is strictly prohibited before and after school hours. In accordance with the City of Livonia ordinance, violators will be subject to prosecution.
  3. During school hours, all e-bikes, electric motorcycles, and similar motorized devices must be parked in designated bicycle parking areas immediately upon arrival on school property.
  4. Operation of e-bikes, electric motorcycles, electric scooters, or other motorized devices is prohibited on sidewalks, athletic facilities, playgrounds/school grounds, courtyards, or any area designated for pedestrian use.
  5. Students must dismount and walk their devices once they enter school grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, or other campus areas designated by the school.
  6. Charging of e-bikes, electric motorcycles, batteries, or related equipment using school electrical outlets is prohibited unless specifically authorized by school administration.
  7. The school assumes no responsibility for theft, damage, or loss of any personal transportation device parked on school property.
  8. Students must comply with all applicable traffic laws, licensing requirements, registration requirements, and safety equipment regulations.
  9. Reckless operation, excessive speed, unsafe riding, unauthorized passengers, stunts, or any behavior that endangers students, staff, or visitors is prohibited.
  10. Electric motorcycles, dirt bikes, minibikes, or other motor vehicles that require registration, licensing, or insurance under state law may not be operated on school property except when entering or exiting designated parking areas.
  11. Violations of this policy may result in loss of permission to bring the device to school, disciplinary action, and/or referral to law enforcement when appropriate.

Administration reserves the right to restrict or prohibit specific devices based on safety, security, or operational concerns.
